Area Red Cross Courses that relate to
CERT
 | Fanwood CERT courses offer three levels of training: Citizen, Team and Team Leader

here for more details on this set of courses. Citizen Training can be
completed by attending
 | a four part series of
2 hour evening sessions
(Modules 1-4), |
 | plus a 2 hour session at the Linden Fire Academy for
hands-on practical training (Module LFA). |
 | Please note: completion of Step 1 courses only does not qualify you to
become a CERT member of the Fanwood or any other team. You must complete all
Step 2 courses in addition to Step 1 in order to complete your CERT
training. |

 | Team Member Training - offers more advanced medical operations
in the event of a disaster/local emergency, lost child volunteer
organizing, disaster psychology and other training modules associated
with being part of the Fanwood CERT. Team Member Training is an
additional 10 hour training and requires
successful completion of the Citizen Training modules as well. Team Member
training can also
be completed through a four part series of evening sessions
(Modules 5-8). Attendance at Disaster Drills will also be required to
maintain member status. Courses do not have to be taken in any order. |
Once we have a number of people who have
completed Step 1 (Citizen Training), we will begin to offer Step 2 Team Member
Training. If you have already completed Citizen Training, we will notify you of
upcoming Team Member Training classes. Thank you for your interest in taking the

associated with being a leader on the Fanwood CERT. Fanwood CERT Leaders
