The Fanwood CERT awards its members a number of service awards for activations and other exemplary service to the Borough of Fanwood and other areas:
  This Service Bar is awarded to a Fanwood CERT member who has been involved in a Police Related Activation. If there is a number in the center, it represents at least this many calls to service.
This Service Bar is awarded to a Fanwood CERT member who has been involved in a Fire Related Activation. If there is a number in the center, it represents at least this many calls to service.
This Service Bar is awarded to a Fanwood CERT member who has been involved in a Rescue Squad/Medical Related Activation. If there is a number in the center, it represents at least this many calls to service.

This Service Bar is issued to a Fanwood CERT member who completes the NJ State Police CERT Train-the-Trainer Course.

The Fanwood CERT also recognizes certifications and volunteer community service performed by its members in related emergency management and disaster-related fields, as well as other awards recognizing their volunteer work with the Fanwood CERT and other emergency management and disaster-related fields.  Team members can wear the following service pins/patches on their uniforms as well:
  This Service Bar recognizes a team member who is currently a NJ state certified Emergency Medical Technician.
This Service Bar recognizes a team member who is also a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team for Fanwood.

USA Freedom Corps' President's Volunteer Service Award - Bronze Level. Represents between 100 - 249 hours of volunteer service in a calendar year.

USA Freedom Corps' President's Volunteer Service Award - Silver Level. Represents between 250 - 499 hours of volunteer service in a calendar year.

USA Freedom Corps' President's Volunteer Service Award - Gold Level. Represents 500 hours or more of volunteer service in a calendar year.

USA Freedom Corps' President's Call to Service Award - Represents 4000 hours or more of volunteer service over a lifetime.
