The Fanwood CERT program is always looking for assistance in many ways. We appreciate any and all help we can get.
VolunteersWe need people to be team members and team leaders. These will be the folks who respond directly, when the OEM Director puts the word out, to an event that affects the citizens of Fanwood or the surrounding area. Everyone who is part of the Fanwood CERT program must go through CERT Citizen Training and Team Member Training. Please click here to learn more about the training and view the upcoming training class schedule. We need CERT Team Leaders, who can lead teams in an event. In an ideal situation we would have a Team Leader for each group assigned to a task by OEM, Police, Fire, EMS, etc. Team Leaders are required to complete additional training beyond Team Member training. Click here for details.
Finally, we need support volunteers to help with Public Relations (getting the word out about the CERT program), Fundraising, Finance and other aspects of any organization. These volunteers should eventually complete the 10-hour CERT Citizen Training, so they are familiar with the Fanwood CERT Program.
Of course, anyone can fill multiple roles on the CERT!
Donations of Goods and ServicesWe have an amazon.com wish list if you want to buy us something specific. This list has many of the items we need to help Fanwood in an emergency. Also, we can always use gift certificates for food (bottled water, sports drinks, coffee, doughnuts, etc. - all the stuff firefighters, EMS workers, Police, etc. need, as well as any victims on scene), tools, blankets, etc. from local businesses and online stores. Contact us directly if you have any new items to donate. Thank you very much for your help!
Donations of VehiclesPlease contact us if you are interested in donating your vehicle to our CERT program. Thank you!
