August, 2006 - Security Levels increase in Airports Worldwide
NO LIQUIDS OR GELS OF ANY KIND WILL BE PERMITTED IN CARRY-ON BAGGAGE; ITEMS MUST BE IN CHECKED BAGGAGE. This includes all beverages, shampoo, suntan lotion, creams, toothpaste, hair-gel, and other items of similar consistency.
Exception: Baby formula and breast milk if a baby or small child is traveling, prescription medicine with a name that matches the passengers ticket, which does include insulin. Any other essential non-prescription medicines should be in their original containers - sealed if possible - and their conveyance is subject to the security screeners discretion.

For traveler’s leaving the United Kingdom - Passengers will be subject to a more extensive screening process. In addition to no liquids, the following restrictions apply:
No
carry-on luggage (except items below).
